Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.

Households have 12 months after the state has started their plan (July 3, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Submit regular claims within 30 calendar days of discovering theft. Submit claims by mail, online, phone, or in-person at local offices. The state has 10 calendar days to validate the claim.

Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 10 calendar days after the claim approval date. You must replace your card.

Other households will have 30 days after the state publishes information about the replacement of stolen benefits process to file a retroactive claim. Report theft within 10 calendar days of discovering and submit a claim form within 10 more calendar days. Report theft by phone, email, mail, fax, or in-person at local offices. Submit claims by mail, fax, email, or in-person at local offices. The state has 10 calendar days after date of theft report, or date of claim submission (whichever is later) to validate the claim.
