Replacement of Stolen Benefits

Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.

Households have 30 calendar days after the state has started their plan (July 10, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Report theft within 30 calendar days of discovering and submit a claim form within 30 more calendar days. Report theft by phone. Submit claims by mail, online, or in-person at local offices. The state has 5 calendar days to validate the claim.

Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 5 calendar days after date of claim submission. You must replace your card.

Report theft within 30 calendar days of discovering and submit regular claim form within 30 calendar days after report. Report theft by phone, mail, email, or in-person at local offices. Submit claims by mail, email, or in-person at local offices. The state has 10 calendar days after claim submission to validate the claim.

Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 10 calendar days after claim approval or 2 business days after date of claim submission (whichever is later). You must replace your card.
