Who May Apply

The entities eligible to receive grants under this competition are non-profit national organizations with broad member or affiliate networks that provide direct workforce development services to low-income and low-skilled individuals, including SNAP participants.

Funding and Duration

Contingent on the availability of funds, FNS plans to award approximately $5 million in FY 2020 for the SNAP E&T National Partnership Grants. These grants are awarded through a competitive process. Grantees are allowed to use the grant funds for the duration of the three-year project period.

FNS reminds applicants that the submission of a proposal does not guarantee funding. Funding for approved grants will be provided through the Grant Award/Letter of Credit process, in the same manner as other funds, upon receipt of a properly executed Grant Agreement and subject to the availability of funding. All National Partnership Grant funds must be obligated and all activities under the Grant must be completed by end of the project period.

Funds from this RFA shall not be used to provide direct services. Funds also shall not be used to pay for existing organizational activities, or regular, on-going organizational operational costs. Funds must be used to create new organizational capacity to provide SNAP E&T technical assistance to network member or affiliate organizations.

The anticipated number of awards range from 4 to 6.
